Grounding Together — Christmas Ornament Gathering

Grounding Together is a gathering for coming back into your body, together — not by sitting still, but by using your hands. Through our hands, we come back into our bodies, together.

There's something grounding about pressing your hands into clay. It's cool, soft and a little unpredictable, and it asks for your full attention without asking you to be good at anything. The rest of the room fades out, your shoulders drop, and you end up laughing mid-craft with the people around you.

This Christmas edition, each guest makes one ornament. We'll share simple instructions for two designs to choose from: a photo ornament or a little gnome. Prefer to follow your own hands? You're also free to freestyle and make something entirely your own. Either way, roll, press, cut and shape, then add finishing touches. No experience needed. Come as you are, get a little messy, and leave with something made by your own hands to give to someone you love.

• 3:00 Welcome
• 3:15 Shape your clay
• 4:30 Rest, snacks and a quiet moment while your clay sets
• 5:00 Paint and decorate
• 5:40 Wrap up, gift box, take your ornament home
• 6:00 Finished
